This involves negotiating fees with consultants, monitoring costs throughout the project, and implementing cost-saving measures where possible without compromising on quality or compliance.
- Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure that all technical aspects of the project comply with relevant building regulations, planning conditions, and health and safety requirements. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, inspect workmanship, and ensure that technical specifications are being adhered to. Address any technical issues that arise on-site, providing solutions to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
- Stakeholder Communication and Support: Provide technical support during land acquisition, planning, sales, construction, and post-construction phases. This includes assessing planning information for building regulation requirements, agreeing on programmes and detail packages before final issue, and supporting the Technical Director in providing relevant reporting where required.
