Technical Coordinator – Residential Developer

Surrey

 

Our client, a well-established residential developer, is seeking a highly organized and motivated Technical Coordinator to support the technical design and delivery of two key residential projects. As a Technical Coordinator, you will work closely with the Senior Technical Manager, design teams, and external consultants to ensure the smooth progression of these developments, from concept through to completion.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Coordination: Assist in the coordination of architectural and engineering designs, ensuring that all design information is accurate, complete, and in line with project objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Document Management: Manage the flow of technical documentation, including drawings, reports, and specifications, ensuring timely distribution to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Consultant Liaison: Work closely with external consultants, including architects, structural engineers, and mechanical & electrical (M&E) specialists, to resolve design queries and coordinate technical information.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with relevant building regulations, planning requirements, and health and safety standards.
  • Technical Problem-Solving: Identify and address technical challenges as they arise, offering practical and compliant solutions in collaboration with the design team and contractors.
  • Project Support: Provide technical support across both projects, assisting in the management of design changes and ensuring any adjustments are fully integrated into the overall project plan.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor the quality and accuracy of design outputs, ensuring they meet the company’s high standards and project requirements.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong working relationships with internal teams, including planning, commercial, and construction, to ensure seamless coordination throughout the project lifecycle.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Strong understanding of UK building regulations, construction methods, and residential design processes.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and external consultants.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
