About the Role:
As an Assistant Land Buyer, you will play a key role in supporting the identification, acquisition, and promotion of new land opportunities. Working closely with senior team members, you’ll assist in appraising sites, preparing offers, and negotiating land deals to ensure a strong pipeline of future developments.

This role involves researching market trends, analysing data, and liaising with external stakeholders, such as landowners, agents, and local authorities, to support successful land acquisition. You’ll also collaborate with internal teams, including technical, planning, and sales, to ensure site potential is maximized.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the identification and evaluation of land opportunities, conducting research, site appraisals, and feasibility studies.
  • Assist in preparing offers, negotiating terms, and completing land acquisitions to meet the company’s strategic goals.
  • Work closely with external stakeholders, such as land agents, landowners, and local authorities, to build strong relationships and gather essential information.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including planning, technical, and sales, to evaluate site potential and develop acquisition strategies.
  • Keep up-to-date with market trends, local planning policies, and regulatory changes to inform land buying activities.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to senior team members.

What We’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years’ experience in a land buying role or be a graduate with relevant industry experience, such as in property, planning, or development. You should be highly motivated, organized, and eager to learn, with a passion for the residential development industry.

Key attributes include:

  • Strong research, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to take on new challenges.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A good understanding of the land acquisition process and relevant planning policies is desirable.
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.
