One of the UK's leading Residential Developers are looking to attract and recruit an in-house Planner to join their team based near Norwich.

This is an excellent role and would suit someone who is looking to work client-side for a leading developer. Working client-side often leads to faster career progression coupled with salary packages that include car allowance /company car and deliverable bonuses.

The role would involve working with their Planning Director to appoint and manage planning consultancies to manage application for major housing projects, whilst providing planning advice to the business prior to land acquisition.

• You will be working with 3 other Town Planners, as well as liaising with teams of external consultants.
• You will be able to work from home 2 days per week, and will be required to commute to the office in Norwich 3 days per week.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Helping and advising the land team on any planning risks associated with a prospective acquisition, in order to avoid any issues further down the line.
• Managing sites through the planning process in order to obtain planning permission from any Local Authorities.
• Assisting in collating data from external consultants, ensuring that everything is compliant with the Local Authorities planning restrictions/laws.
• Assisting in preparing the Client's representatives with all the data they need in order to successfully conduct public consultations.
• You will help accommodate the discharge conditions of the development, ensuring planning permission is granted while maintaining the profitability of the venture.

(Do not worry if you are not familiar with some of these duties, they will be happy to provide training!)

A Degree relevant to Town/Urban/City Planning will be advantageous to a candidate.

Additionally, any other relevant experience is great (Planning for a Council/Consultancy/Developer etc).
