Potensis Selection is proud to present an opportunity to join a high-end residential developer as a Technical Manager overseeing the refurbishment and redevelopment of a high-value project. The project entails working across a landmark building to deliver high-quality residential and mixed-use spaces. This project involves the transformation of the historic structure into modern, luxurious homes and commercial areas while preserving its architectural heritage. The role of the Technical Manager is pivotal in ensuring the seamless execution of the refurbishment, coordinating the technical aspects of design, construction, and compliance.

Job Summary:
As the Technical Manager, you will lead the technical coordination and management of the refurbishment project. You will ensure that all technical designs and construction methodologies are delivered efficiently, meeting the highest standards of quality, safety, and sustainability. You will collaborate closely with design teams, contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to oversee all technical aspects of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Oversee the technical delivery of the refurbishment project, ensuring designs are executed in line with architectural intent, engineering standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Design Coordination: Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and subcontractors to manage the technical aspects of design and build. Review design drawings, specifications, and ensure they align with the project's goals.
  • Technical Problem Solving: Lead the resolution of design and construction challenges that arise during the project lifecycle, ensuring practical and innovative solutions that maintain project integrity.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all design and construction activities comply with relevant regulations, planning conditions, building codes, and safety standards (e.g., CDM Regulations, Building Regulations).
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain rigorous quality control processes, ensuring all works adhere to agreed technical standards and specifications. Conduct regular site inspections to verify progress and quality.
  • Stakeholder Management: Liaise with internal teams, contractors, and external consultants to ensure clear communication and alignment on technical issues. Attend progress meetings and provide regular updates to senior management.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Ensure all technical documents, drawings, and reports are up to date, properly filed, and communicated effectively to relevant teams. Prepare technical reports and ensure clear communication across the project team.
