Project Director – Residential Developer

Potensis Selection are working with a high-end residential developer seeking a seasoned and dynamic Project Director to lead and oversee multiple high-profile construction projects from inception through to completion. This senior role requires an individual with extensive construction experience, strong leadership abilities, and the strategic insight necessary to ensure project delivery aligns with company objectives, client expectations, and industry standards.

 

The Project Director will work closely with project managers, clients, and senior stakeholders to ensure projects are executed on time, within scope, and on budget while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Oversight:
    Oversee and manage multiple construction projects concurrently, providing strategic direction and support to ensure each project meets milestones, stays within budget, and aligns with company objectives.
  • Project Planning & Execution:
    Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, timeline, and resource allocation. Monitor project progress and proactively address any issues to keep projects on track.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management:
    Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, building and maintaining strong relationships. Ensure clear and consistent communication and provide regular project updates, reports, and presentations.
  • Risk Management & Problem-Solving:
    Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact. Resolve complex project-related issues and implement solutions effectively.
  • Financial Oversight:
    Work closely with finance teams to manage project budgets, control costs, and forecast expenditures. Oversee contract negotiations, vendor relationships, and procurement processes to optimize financial performance.
  • Team Development & Performance Management:
    Lead, mentor, and support project managers and other project team members. Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages growth, accountability, and high performance.
  • Quality Control & Compliance:
    Ensure all projects adhere to regulatory, safety, and quality standards. Conduct regular site visits and audits to verify compliance with company and industry best practices.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Drive operational improvements and best practices within the project management function to enhance efficiency, performance, and client satisfaction.
